The Automated Substitute Selection Process

• Does ASAAP allow each site and group of sites to have its own unique substitute selection process? Do options include, but not limited to, any ordered combination of the following:

• How long does ASAAP try to call substitutes before it gives up?

• If ASAAP bypasses a substitute due to a busy signal, answering machine, caller ID, etc., and no substitute is found, does it cycle through again?

• If yes, how many times before giving up?

• What happens if no substitute is found?

• Who gets notified when "NO SUBSTITUTE FOUND" and how quickly does the site get notified?

• Does ASAAP have the capabilities for administrative overrides to select substitute personnel as dictated by educational program requirements?

• Is each site or group of sites able to select which preference or exclusion list(s) to apply, and in which order for each employee?

• Does ASAAP serve the needs of unions and specially negotiated contracts when selecting substitutes?

• Does each substitute profile allow for a primary and secondary job position to be listed and used when selecting appropriate substitutes to call?

• Does ASAAP allow options that enable substitutes to call in or access the system, 24 hours a day and search for jobs?

• Is each site or group of sites able to allow (or to not allow) an employee to override his lists by assigning a specific substitute?

• With what parameters does ASAAP allow each Site or group of sites to control the substitute call-in functions? Do the parameters include, but are not limited to:
